Where Are They?

its hard to tell.
Usually they are some signs like hiding away, the fish will be moody and chase other fish away.
 
Yeah i thought nothing of it at the time - wasn't to fat but she was hanging round at the bottom in the cover of plants and matt kept chasing her.
 
Java moss is also good cover for baby fish. We let them take their chances, and seem to get 1-3 platy babies surviving each time, hiding in a fairly small piece of Java moss and under the bogwood. Most of the fish would see them as a snack, including their own parents (it might even be the reason that the male was following her... :sad: )
Don't give up completely - if you've got lots of hiding places, you might find one or two appearing in a few days - they're very good at hiding.
