what else is in the tank?

convicts are one of the best for keeping up with their parental responsibilities, so they should be fine with the parents for as long as you want to keep them

I used to take mine out when the parents started spawning again, because that is when they will view their previous fry as 'enemies'.

they are the only fish in the tank.the tank size is a 20gl.and now my female is starting to look really big, and her color is alot bolder and brighter, is this a sign that they are getting ready to spawn again?

go ahead and remove your fry, if you think. thats how all of my female fish have looked before spawning

^ Im my many many experiences with convicts, they will look fat, and breed a week later. In the week the parents could be caring for the fry. Why not?

You're gonna be stuck with the fry.... That's why not. Nobody wants them for free.
