I was looking at a dealers tank with 20 or so of the males-the all blue and the all orange other species. If only they were schooling fish huh?..Instead,males will fight like Bettas sometimes.
If you do breed them? a 50 gallon with a couple dozen is one real show tank.

I keep a pair in a 46g and its enough theyre pretty good together, though they have spats sometimes.

Nice choice of fish! Just be aware of the potential problems with the health of DG and the health of panda cories. Both are prone to a lot of issues
