When Is My Guppy Giving Birth?

This is my first fish tank and my guppy is pregnant. When do i puther in the breeders net? Is she almost ready?

There.... (welcome to the forum cdaloser) now your Guppy is visible for all of us and she is very pregnant...... I will never support breeding traps and/or breeding nets..... What other fish do you have in this tank and what plants do you have?? (she will probably deliver any time during the next 3/4 days)

She looks fairly close to me... And I use breeding traps (when I can put her in at the right time, I'm usually too late...) and I have never had any problems, but of course that is just my opinion, you can do what you like!

I have platty, swordtail, angelfish and a betta.

With those tank mates, you're going to want to separate the mother or be very ready to catch the babies as they are likely to be eaten.

I'd try to wait until the back end begins squaring off rather than placing her in breeder too soon. (I have a huge preferance for mesh breeders rather than plastic). Not all females square off though (at least not all mine do!), but yours looks fairly round and those seem to be the ones to square off nicely.

Shes separated in the mesh fish breeder. She dusnt serm stressed im guessing shes almost ready. I hope so i can let her out
