When Do You Do Yours?

I've just cleaned my 3 tanks, which i do enjoy and never a chore...

I use the old Bucket & jug method, which is hard going,but hey ho its worth it in the end.

My tanks get cleaned religiously weekly ( except fry tank twice daily)- one week its a thursday evening,following week a Friday morning due to my work shift pattern

So i was wondering how you all do yours? do you have a set day & how often?

I use the bucket & jug method too.
On my smaller tanks I do twice weekly changes

I do weeklyish, it's normally on a Saturday (which is house cleaning day anyways ) or on Wednesday cause Eastenders isn't on.

I do mine weekly, I put bucket and jug because I don't have a python but I do use a small pump to replace the water in to the tanks rather than a jug.

i do water change weekly by syphoning 25lt out and then syphoning 25lt back in,usualy on a saturday or sunday if i run out of time saturday!!

im running two externals and clean one each week with a water change so my filters run for 2 weeks between cleaning

friday afternoon is my tank cleaning time as I finish work at 12 and have 4 hours to myself before fetching my better half from work (unless my stats change) as I check them every 2-3 days or if i see something strange.

Basically a good hoovering out, then replace water using 5 litre buckets (note to self get bigger buckets !!!) at the same time I have a fiddle round with the deco, trim plants, move things lol. basically about 1-2 hours on the tank and im a happy person

I do mine very Sunday morning. Old joggers, old top, radio on. Then I have breakfast. Last week I was moving around plants for ages and I didn't get my breakfast, well, more like a brunch, until 12pm.

I have 4 tanks my 2 big ones get a wc on Monday with the python.

The other 2 tanks I do on tue and they are small. I use the bucket and a watering can on theses tanks.

I clean mine every Sunday. I use my modified vac that attaches to my garden hose (hose pipe) that drains to my backyard. Refill with hose attached to kitchen faucet.

I do mine with buckets but I have a python, just don't like it so it collects dust under the bed.

I take out the water in buckets and put it back in with a hose. I use the water in our yard to fertilize the grass...no reason to waste all the ferts I'm putting in the water I use in it my plants and flowerpots too

I am obsessive about water changes and never miss a day...every single friday. I crank up the music and trip over my kids, spill water everywhere, and we all dance it out. Good opportunity for some exercise and fun

Weekend usually friday or saturday using a Aqueon water changer 15mins from start to finish. I also drop my temp 4-5C but thats another thread
