What's Your Favorite?

Out of Asians, Africans, Australians and south Americans which fish do you like the most? I'm a south American fan!

If I had enough money I'd have a tank of each!

It's so hard to pick one - if I could start again with my current tank I'd have south Anerican biotope - I think for the standard size tank there is a better range of South American fish based on colours, size and temperament.

However, If I had a tank big enough I'd love to try African cichlids.

But I could also do an Asian riverine tank or a rainbowfish tank and still be a very happy man.

i like my african cichlids the most so far. my next tank is probably going to be south american though. i really like the south american rams, but not too fond on a lot of the other south americans like oscars and all because you dont really have any options on fish to keep with them

My favorite fish are the ones that are still alive.

Hard to pick. There are ones I have, ones i've kept, ones I want to keep.
Love cories and angels. Want rams. Love bettas and gouramis. Want some loaches.
Haven't quite been enamoured with Africans. Some of the Australians are lovely.
I assume you thrust Central America in with South America?

Hard to pick a definant favourite, Asia has Borneo Suckers

 

 , Khuli loaches

  and shrimp and nice snails like there is no tomorrow.
While Australia has rainbow fish and blue eyes

 , some really personalable predators like gugdeons and cod

 , and shrimp and snail species that are still only being discovered and classified.
 
So I would say my vote has got to be Pacfic region

 .
 
Although south America does have corys and they would have to be an all time favourite fish of mine.
hmmmmm might just have to go with a global vote.
