WHATS YOUR FAVORITE CICHLID???

As for the Angels, while they are cichlids, I don't know that alot of hard-core cichlid keepers really even consider them in the same way they do, like say an Istlantum or Dovii or Jag. You couldn't really think about keeping an Angel with these fish nor would you consider keeping any of the really aggro fish with neons or mollies.

I love angels!

Since they aren't really that agressive (As many cichlids are), they can be good community fish. But my guess is if you put them with african cichlids, they will get torn to shreads. My angel gets along great with my other fish (Meaning, he leaves them alone)

i love rams bought tow recently but my most favourite fish of all and favourite cichlid is the DISCUS!!!!!!! one day i iwll get one hopefully but i am gunna wait a few years until i get some experince lol

Ok, i only have experience keeping 9 of the fish on the list, although i still have 6, but my favourite by far is the green sev. When i bought him he was a dark shade of green, and i guessed he was a bit stressed in the shop, so i took him home and put him in my cichlid community tank,(cost me a tenner at 5" is this good?). anyway, now i understand how they get the name banded cichlid, at various times of the day he goes from white to green to banded and he is v. beautiful, the best by far.

It may sound boring. but from all my cichlids the Albino Convict is the favorite. It is beautifull, playfull, smart and did I mention beautifull? some may think white is boring, but white against grenn plants and dark stones and roots is perhabs one of the most collorfull once
