Whats your dream tank??

i think it will work well
in nature these lizards live very close to freshwater so i dont imagine it will stress them too much.
but i have made a quick sketch on paint for you it's only a simplified drawing because the blue prints are to big to scan.

i wasnt basing my tank on a freshwater lizard
i was trying to create a two tone enviroment.
so in effect it's would be like keeping a couple of hamsters in there instead.
of course i wont do that but thats the sort of theme.
if thats isn't possible then i'll get some sub-aquatic animals like you said.
But who knows maybe a snake of some small variety.

i think some of the larger danios species would look cool,
i would plant it heavily, get a shoal of danios, a few bottomdwellers ( go the bristlenose) and one or two centepiece fish, possibly rams or an apistogramma species.

wolfie that pm get you?

do you know the scientific name for them? if i google Rainbow Fish... a million of different things come up
Melanotaenia boesemani - That's for a boesemani rainbowfish. There are several other varieties. If you google rainbowfish as one word you will get more accurate results.

Check out Monga Bay for some good information on the different varieties. There are pics if you click on the links by the names.

dream tank?

200G+, Probably tropical.

Not sure what else, I prefer to take it how it goes and build a tank brick by brick but with a tank like this I'm sure I'd have to do lots of planning...

i'm no expert on angle fish, but never heard of any that only grow 11cm... did a fish store employee tell you this (if so, dont trust them!) or did you research this yourself with the scientific name of that fish???
I did reaserch on them myself. With the scientific name. Unless of cause they are lying

I love angels and would love a pair... what kind is it that you were looking at that stay small? I'd love to know a name so I can look it up as well.

Thanks

angels only get to be 6 inches. 30 gallons is the minimum tank size. You could some. Thats what i'd say, or maybe some pink convicts. those seem pretty.

BUT Don't plan on gettin anything else if you get cons.. (especailly breeding pair)

yeah, theyre really agressive. but thats what makes them so nice. :D lol

I am thinking of a pair of Rams, a pair of Angels, maybe some Kribs. I would like to have some gouramis too. Maybe 2 pairs dwarf and some paradise fish.

Think that would work in a tank?
