Ok, everyone, unless your deaf, has favorite music for different moods. So, whats yours

I'll start seeing as I'm asking....

Prodomently my choice is metal. I can enjoy this where ever and when ever.. It has to be the right stuf though. Slip knot would never do!

Metallica, Trivium and such like.

A slight move from metal is Nightwish and Within Temptation. A classical opera vocals can really do the trick if I'm trying to chill.

And when I'm most stressed I like Vivaldi. The four seasons must have been as brilliant in the 17 hundreds as Metallica's black album was in the 90's.

Go on, whats yours?

So, yr all deaf, eh?
Cant you even feel the vibratios of the music?
Or maybe talk of a different subject other than your aquariunm is too daunting?

It really depends on my mood, I like everything from alternative, rock, heavy metal, rap, country, to blues, jazz, and classical music. I though the soundtrack to Black Snake Moan was fabulous.

I must add that Vivaldi's Four Seasons absolutely rocks! So many people only think Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart when they think of classial, Vivaldi is so often overlooked in my opinion.

...And yet the four seasons is probably better known than most.

I was enjoying a littlesoft stuff yesterday, whilst I was machining up some doors. Iron Maiden.

Thanks for the reply. Clearly you and I are the only two in the world that listen to music and keep fish

Sorry, only just seen your thread.
I've always been into metal and the likes since a child. My dad made sure he raised me right.

I grew up on Led Zepplin, Joy Division, New Order, Rolling Stones, The Who. As a teenager I was into Metallica, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Sisters of Mercy and The Pixies. At age 17 I discovered Marilyn Manson. And now still listen to all my old favorites as well as Cradle of Filth. Met my hubby at a Metal club.

As long as it rocks, I'm happy.

:good:

Ah, I love Nightwish! That is by far my favourite band. I am even going to their two concerts in Canada in October lol.
Although they have strayed since Once, from the operatic vocals, and are more metal, which I don't mind, I like both. I also like After Forever, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil and Tristania from that genre. Also, Sonata Arctica and For My Pain..., also Timo Rautiainen and Ja Trio Niskal.

Some days, though I like a little mellower stuff such as Rasputina. 2 girls on cellos and a man on drums. Except their cellos are plugged in so sometimes they sound electric. I like that music.

Sometimes I like coldplay, but rarely.

I love music

IDK, I don't have one prefered genre for any kind of setting, not even if I'm stressed or anything like that. All my music just kinda calms me down, or makes me relax, etc. I basically listen to 3 things. Rock, metal and punk. I could be listening to something light one minute, like Pink Floyd or KISS for example, then I can go extremely heavy, like All Shall Perish and The Black Dahlia Murder. Then I listen to some techno every once and a while. I'll only listen to rap or hip hop if it's funny. Or sometimes I'll just listen to rap if I want a laugh because I think the lyrics in most rap songs are the dumbest things in the world. lol. Don't take offense to that, that's just me.

I am almost strictly rock/ emo rock. I personally stick to abou 3 bands: Fall out boy, All-American Rejects, and Relient K. I am not sure as to what genre Reilient K is to the fact that they play everything. Though I do like the band Bowling for soup.

Pop all the way!

Well really, i mostly listen to the Hot30 (here in Australia), or if you prefer, the Top40...

Im not into metal; but i also like dance/elecronica, a bit of rock, house... :)

oh ok, confused by how someone could peg Floyd as "light", I went and looked up the lyrics to some of the songs from the groups you listen to.

I take light to mean they didn't massacre anyone in their songs  I have to say the Scary Kids ones were better then the Misfits ones, calmed down a little.

Not my taste but to each their own :)

Haha, I'm not demented or anything. I just like the heavier style music, and sometimes they have good lyrics, lol.
