she is very sluggish, just floating in the corner really. giving birth or kicking the bucket?

It looks like she is giving premature to a fry that is still in the egg sac. Are those red streaks on her body???

yes they are, she was dead by this afternoon, im guessing nothing can prevent such an occurance in future?

with such a small fish as a guppy, it's hard too. It probably just depends on luck
