It's weird, I was just going to post a new thread and saw this one. I hope you don't mind me posting in here, but I have the exact same problem.
My Gourami is bloated also, I've tried the pea method, but haven't noticed any results (not sure if it is even eating them) he usually loves them.
Here is a couple of pics (they aren't the best pics as he is moving to much with the ISO low, and they are pretty blury with the ISO up)
Other fish in the tank are fine.
Just tested water, and the results are as follow;
Am - 0
nI - 0
nA - 60
PH -6.5ish
He isn't very active, and seems to be breathing faster than normal.
I hope I haven't left it too late to do anything, but I have been very busy the last couple of days.
