Whats Wrong With My Gourami

Adding espon salt to a tank is one teaspoon to 5 gallon, so you will have to work then dosage out for the container.
Good luck.

Thats good news bless her.
Not sure on how many times you preform the epson salt baths try a search on the net,.
Good luck.

Ok thats good.
I know you can preform up to several baths aday on columnaris.
Don't let the temp drop to much in the salt bath, as you will strress and shock the fish if the temp alters.
Good luck.

Keep up the good work.

well unfortuanly she died today at around lunch i went away for half the day bto see my dads parents and come back to find her dead in her tank

Sorry to hear about your fish...

It's weird, I was just going to post a new thread and saw this one. I hope you don't mind me posting in here, but I have the exact same problem.

My Gourami is bloated also, I've tried the pea method, but haven't noticed any results (not sure if it is even eating them) he usually loves them.

Here is a couple of pics (they aren't the best pics as he is moving to much with the ISO low, and they are pretty blury with the ISO up)

Other fish in the tank are fine.

Just tested water, and the results are as follow;

Am - 0
nI - 0
nA - 60
PH -6.5ish

He isn't very active, and seems to be breathing faster than normal.

I hope I haven't left it too late to do anything, but I have been very busy the last couple of days.

Thanks for any prompt answers.

Your nitrAtes seem a little high, when did you last do a water change? Also, it's hard to tell from the pics, but do there seem to be protruding scales?

here is a very nice little goruami i hope he doesnt die.

PS: i don't mind if you hijack this thread as i have no use for it anymore as my gourami died

Bless her sounds like the salt reduced the swelling but the organs had packed in so sorry.
R.I.P.
Epson salts baths, bacterial med, and peas nothing else left to do sorry, if the fish is breathing heavy they don't usually make it, sorry.
