i paid £20 for a red hump geo which ive had for a few months and is a great fish,
i also paid £20 for a baby fahaka puffer which i thought was too big for my 5 inch oscar to fit in his mouth,
i checked the tank after 20 mins and the oscar has a marble sized swelling in the belly..
really expensive lunch for oscar and it #40## near killed him, he wasn't right for a week after.

ive spent 30 quid each on 3 different plecs. nothing else in the tank comes close to those prices. best deal though was my rusty. cost me a tenner, was noticabley bigger than the other ones in the shop. i went back a week later and they had all been put up to 25 quid, regardless of size. now hes mega.

The most I've spent on a single fish was $100 for a 9-10 inch guinea fowl puffer. That was after my employee discount. Worst problem was he was at the shop for about 8 months, I got him home and about a month later how a power failure and lost him, #40## near killed me. If we are just talking freshwater then $35-40 a piece for discus, when I was really into them.

The most I ever spent of fish was my Peacock Goby....$15!!! Second was a single Pink Jewel Tetra ($7 per fish!!!) second would have to be Kuhli Loaches, $5 dollars each....my LFS is a little pinchy with the money....then again it is Potomac

I paid £40 for my golden nugget pleco. Coupled with this all the information I read was that they quite often die after a few weeks, so it was a very risky £40. However, he seemscompletely fine (had him 6 weeks). Quick little #29### if you ever catch him out.
