what's the most expensive fish anyone here's ever bought?!




i think mine was about £3 (which is about $5, according to a currency converter website )

i don't dare to buy the expensive fish...

£50 for my redtail which I know believe according to addverts in aquatics to be worth around £330 but 1, I would never sell him and 2, you'd have to find someone mad enough to buy one of these .

No expensive fish in my tanks. The most I've ever paid for a fishy was about $20 for a clown loach. That's okay, I make up for what I save on inexpensive fish in numbers. All those little bettas and loachies add up after a while!!

lol thats nothing, if the mrs hadnt put her foot down i was going to buy a Meredontus tigrinus for £375 (about $580 i think?), which would have actually been a very good price.

My old mate Martin had one of the first M. tigrinus ever imported into the UK. Had it on display in his fish shop in Aldershot. Paid £1500 for it. Was about 18".

I guess I routinely pay $30-$40 dollars, (equivalent), for fish I really want. However, if I saw any of my all time dream fish, I don't think price would enter into my mind.

I've recently paid $10 each for a couple of sterbai corys, but I like to buy young fish and pay lower prices.

But I would pay more for fish I really wanted.
