I was thinking about them and had a quick look some places say yes others no. The best person to talk to will be T1KARMANN hes got quite a few different types. Im not sure how they would get on with the BGK either.

Motoro Ray, Oscars (pair) & some Silver Dollars as a space filler?
I know its not really a solitary tank, but would be great nonetheless.

i think my stocking plans are sorted now

if the maidenheads 2 new motoro ray pups survive i will be getting first refusal on them. so ill keep the tank just for them and when they are big enough add a couple of oscars

what do you guys think?

Sounds great but from what ive read on them they can get a 40" disc so they wont be able to stay in there for life but i would think they would be able to stay in there for a while.

You going for the Rays then? Awesome! You not going to get a 'space filler' as I put it. Maybe even fully grown Dennison or Filament Barbs could do it? Not sure wether an Oscar would have 'a do' at them though.

yeah i think that the tank will be fine for rays for a few years at least, if it gets too small im sure i wont have trouble selling them on.
ive been reading alot on the net and seem to get the ok for oscars as tank mates but i wont be adding them until the rays are a bit bigger and are feeding well enough to compete for the food. so it will be a big tank with 2 small rays in for a while. this will also ensure water quality is at its best for the rays
when the rays and oscars are in together and if it looks too empty then i may think of adding a few dithers. maybe silver dollars.....
its going to be a while before the tank is fully stocked but if all goes well it will be a dream tank. in my eyes anyway
