Hikaro Bio Gold Baby Pellets (they're smaller for my girls who have little mouths - go figure that one!) 3 - 4 in the morning, 3-4 in the evening... then every other night or so they all get frozen blood worms in place of pellets. Peas go around about every other or every third day. A pinch of daphnia every now and then, and blanched chopped cucumbers every once in a great while. We've got a few that will try brine shrimp but mostly they spit it out. Also have some flakes that I want to get rid of and once in a while so when i know they're really hungry they get some of those too.

ANNNNNDDD.... my little girl Pearl just LOVES algae wafers. Every so often I'll break off a teeny piece and throw it in.

I feed mine Hikary Bio gold baby pellets, frozen bloodworms a week or twice a week and a pea a week. They'll be getting more variety as soon as I can get my other boy healthy.

I feed Bettamin (just not even two flakes a fish) once a day. I feed 3-4 freezedried bloodworms in the morning and at night. (Or okay, I admit it, if they beg me, I feed them more than that :p )

I try to keep live bloodworms in my fridge and I feed them once (in place of a regular feeding of freezedried) a day or every other day about 6-7 live bloodworms. (I only do this is I feed sparingly in the morning and only the live bloodworms at night.)

I used to feed 3 pellets in the morning and 3 at night of the Hakari betta pellets (but for some reason, all my bettas just stopped eating them!)

Mine are fed:

Pellets (current brand is HBH Betta Bites, but I rarely buy the same thing twice)
Frozen Bloodworms
Live Blackworms
Peas
Crickets
Moths

Crickets & moths? Do you catch them yourself? Do you have to cut them up into bitty pieces? I bet it would be neat to watch them eat a bug!

I buy crickets for my hamsters, my toads, and my lizard, anyway, so I invariably have some on hand. I don't chop them up at all. The Bettas have a lot of fun tearing them apart.

As for moths, I only feed them smaller ones, and ones I've caught inside. I don't chop them up, either. I just put them in the tank and close the lid. One of my Bettas eat them whole. The others usually tear them apart themselves.

Just don't use bugs if you don't know they're clean of pesticides. Best place to get them is the pet store.

What about ones you find in the yard? Guess you could not be sure about pesticides then eh?

Will definitely have to check out the "bug" section next time I'm at the petshop!

I won't take anything out of my yard to feed to my fish. I just can't be sure where they've been.

Moths are a rare treat around here, because I usually don't bother and don't want to risk it TOO much.

Mine get fed live bloodworms and brineshrimp mainly. They sometimes have frozen and usually a pea a couple of times a week. Sometimes as a change i'll give them some of the hikari pellets, but the live stuff is what they love! I bought some squid for my marine fish... I wonder if bettas would eat squid? -_- Hmmm... lol
