What Wouldi Have To Upgrade

it would be okay for fish with the current lighting, and a UV isnt really needed in a nano, because of the limited fish choices etc, but they are handy to have incase any pathogens are in the water.

Yes, Truck but who do you know on here that just sticks to fish? And you are right that he doesn't NEED a UV to have a successful nano tank but it helps and is better to have it then not :good: for a beginner - for the price of buying all this stuff you could just buy the marine version and even better if you can pick up a second hand bargain :good:

In the freshwater version everything would be on display as well, not a pretty sight  in the marine version it is all tucked away at the back except of course for the power head - Bagu, get a K2?

Hey guys!

I already have the tank seffie, it's currently housing tropical :)

I'm considering going marine in around a month

So ideally I should scrap the tank and get a 2nd hand marine tank?

Thansk guys!!!!

yes and no. work out which will be cheaper but with the orca tl550, it gives you more stocking options.

Ah right, you already have the tank - well, if you are defo only going to have lr and fish (fowlr) then with the added bits Truck suggested you should be fine :good:

However, if you are thinking of fish, corals, lr then you will need to upgrade the lighting

might be worth keeping your freshwater and asking for donations from the family (birthday/christmas) for a new tank woo hoo :good:

ps look out for some bargain second hand - you could always sell the tank as it is so new should go easily

heya seff!

Will do, ill have to persuade them i am capable! and achieve straight A's in my AS levels (3 science and maths =/) haha shouldn't be TOO hard ^^

thanks alot guys!

baytree had a seio 620 powerhead the other day for about £25 - £30.

Bit of a bargain.

Only thing i would advise, bagu is its a small tank for you first marine tank.

Small tanks leave very little margin for error with regards to water chemistry.

heya mate! long time no chat ^^

I'm going baytree's this weekend I believe after being sold an ill BN pleco and a wrong gender blue ram (i count sex it, they were too young :() so i will definately take a look into the powerheads. As for the tank being small; i completely agree 110%, a small change in a large tank will do alot more damage to a nano. But i'm dedicated and willing; just got to save up and get the grades haha :) :good: :good:
