They are stunning I adore geophagus sveni, they’re just gorgeous. What size group would you recommend keeping them in, and what tank size would that need?

Actually for best size tank, a 6 to 8ft tank with 6 of them.
For a 60gallons tank(4ft X 1.5ft), probably you can have 4 of them(my estimation only).
For a 75 gallons tank (4ft x 2ft), probably you can have 5 of them.(my estimation only)

It's best to start with at least 5-6 of them to spread out the aggression.

My favourite is also a killifish (do you see a pattern...) Aphyosemion zygaima. I've been breeding them for 30 years, and still find them fascinating..

Interesting. My favorite killi species would be Aphyosemion pyrophore. Always wanted them once I saw them for the first time. Lo and behold, I own a pair of them in my collection. The male is extremely gorgeous, perhaps the prettiest of all of my killis. Only downside to them is that they are difficult to breed, well at least my pair. Not very prolific at breeding and eggs tend to fungus easily.
