What Would You Do With A 100 Gallon Fish Tank?

Pray that the floor will take the weight

You're not kidding. I bought a second hand 5ft tank 3 months ago & it's still in the garage - have to support the floor joist first. I'm not at all annoyed or frustrated..... Not one bit.

Know the feeling. Recently bought a one metre 230 litre and gave no thought about the floor. That will have to be investigated.

But to put the topic back on thread, I'm not sure that mass shoals would be the way to go. From what I have seen - and read on this forum - if fish from a particular schooling species are content and happy with their environment, then they will spread themselves out all over the tank length, width and depth- my 12 rasboras certainly do this unless I approach the tank then they bunch up apart from one or two of the daring ones who think that I'm going to feed them.

A larger tank may be easier to maintain BUT given the stock options of a 100 gallons, it makes it one heck of a difficult choice.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum, I think large tanks look best with huge shoals of small fish.
Very true actually... Some amazing aquascaping with bogwood and rocks, mixed with a hundred or so schooling fish would look absolutely epic.
Definitely I would go with this too.
