Yes, I think the 1,000 degree temps would probably kill off the fish....
I would at least try to save my Puffers, they're the fish thats the closest to me. If I was in teh fish room at the time and wasn't freaking out, I'd probably pick up a tepaware container and try to scoop them out....

I'll have to say I'd grab my cat first and run outside, but I know I'd be crying about my fish.

thats a good question? but i would save myself it sounds mean but i would save my husband my child and my cat, i wouldn't have time to stop and try to scoop the fish out of the tank ( till keep me there for long mintues at a time ) and besides there in water anyways i would just pray that the glass doesn't break from the heat,

If it was possible i would try to save at least some of the fish i have or try to tackle the fire with a fire extinguisher but at the end of the day my family would have to come first and id be no good to them if i were dead. All fish, even rare ones are replacable, human lives are not.

of course kiddo and the rabbit 1st , then the turtle, then as many betta tanks as I could grab,my house would be consumed before I could get all of those so the bigger tanks wouldn't have a chance ,but as easy as he is to net I'd probably try to get my eel before I start on the bettas
