This weekend I moved all my freshwater fishies from my 126 ltr (33g) tank to a new 200 ltr. Now I have an empty tank which I'm trying to decide what to do with..

If I were to cross over to the salty side, for this size tank, what would I need to buy? I have a tank, cabinet, hood with 2 x 20w lights and an external filter. I'm just trying to get an idea of about how much I'd need to save to get all the bits and bobs.

Thanks for any help.

salt,
carbon,
RowaPhos,
powerheads,
RO DI water,
skimmer,
marine substrate,
heater :) Thermometer :)
Hydrometer or Refractometer :)
live rock,
salt water tests

also ever use any fresh water meds on that tank? if so could u name them?

My god, that's a lot of things to get!

I've never had to use any medicines for disease. I used plant fertilizers (Seachem flourish and excel) along with other water treatments like stress coat.

also dont forget the main thing.... a lottery ticket as it does cost a fair bit but weeeel worth it

2 be on the safe side.. wash ur tank out well with 1 part bleach 10 parts water.. .. just 2 be on the safe side

oh and what type of external filter?

It's an Eheim Ecco 2234. Currently on my 200ltr, but I'll be getting a bigger one to use for my big tank and moving the 2234 back to the 126ltr.

ok you don't really need something like that in the marine world.. but u could put ur carbon and RowaPhos in it.. but nothing else and remove all foam that might be in it. your liverock will be the filtration.
