What Would Be A Good Size Sump

what would people suggest is a good size sump for a 4ft main tank, having just measured my (unmodified) cabinet i reckon i can squeeze in a 3 footer or would 2ft be enough therefore giving a little extra room. all advice gratefully received...... Kevin

Bigger is better in this case

Biggest tank you can fit in there most comfortably, would be the best choice.

Why not 2 and half foot?
