What Was Your First Fish?

Hey everyone, i'm keen to know what everyones first experience with fish are. Oh and please tell me what fish it was! Thank you1

My first experience with fish was the Koi in the pond in my parents garden, then their beautiful marine tank. After I finished Uni and got a place of my own I finally got my own tank/s!
A community tropical and a Malawi setup.

Koi carp. I always wanted a pond & my parents indulged me. (I was 10, many many years ago)
I had 6, the largest grew to be 18"
Would have them again if I had the room

I had a Betta fish when I was about 7 and he was in a 1/2 gallon bowl with no decorations, I feel so bad about it now and he died a slow painful way... My cat ate his fins and left him on the floor

A single neon tetra in a tank no bigger than 500ml's in volume, I was 6, blame my parent.

A goldfish won at a fair.

My mum killed it by cleaning it's bowl out, putting hot water in the bowl & returning the poor thing.

Zebra Danios

My brother was a huge fan of the zebra danios. Me, though, I always wanted dwarf gouramis and Bleeding Heart Tetras.

We shared a 30 gallon aquarium when we were younger, though my mom did all the cleaning and stuff

I had four pond fish called Eric, Arnold, Charlie and Peewee. Eric was named after Cartman from South Park, Peewee was from the Smurfs. Pretty sure Arnold may have been one of the dads from South Park but can't remember where Charlie came from

We always had fish ever since I can remember. My first memory is of Orange Swordtails, Bleeding Heart tetras, Black Neons, Cardinals and Angelfish.

My first bad memory of fish is when the Bleeding Hearts had Ich and my mom was trying to take them out of the tank to quarantine them. One of them jumped out of the net and landed into a very full cigarette ashtray on the table! It died. Lovely story eh?

My mom had some goldfish when I was growing up. My first fish personally were platys and swordtails....i still have one of my swordtails.
