I am cycling a 10 gallon tank it has a ph of 7.6 ( I have driftwood going in there soon so the ph will drop a bit.) I plan to put 5 male guppies in my 10 gallon tank. I wonder what types of fish can live with guppies. I have heard stories of all sorts of fish nipping at guppies' fins. I have VERY HARD water by the way. Any extra advice is also appreciated.

10gallons is pretty small. The only things I can think of that will happily co-exist in such a small tank would be some male endlers or possibly a pair of peacock gobies. Generally anything small enough to fit needs to be in large numbers that would leave your filter overloaded.

thanks, I'll look into getting a larger tank. I wanted something small to start with that's why I got a 10 gallon. I might get a 30 gallon once I get the hang of fishkeeping.

It's actually easier to learn on a bigger tank, because there is more water to dilute any mistakes that you make!

oh, I didn't know that, the space I had is pretty small, though
