What 'type' Of Glass For Diy Tank Build?

I thought that would be the case, Windsor are pretty good on their prices, self building rarely works out cheaper unless you are in or know someone in the glass trade.

i spoke to 22 glaziers in my area for my latest tank build, cheapest quote i got was around 115 for 6mm glass, i then spoke to a friend who said wharf aquatics sell tanks and may do the glass. so i ring them and the glass woulda cost me 40! but then i asked how much the asambled tank would be, the reply was 41 LOL
so if u live close to M1 give them a call. i asked for the braces to be moved from the edge so i can get my overflow in and 2 glass lids. this bumped the price up to a massive 47 quid. lol best fish shop i ever had the pleasure of doing busness with (picking up the tank on thursday)

Funny you should mention Wharf..... I'm going to pop in there tomorrow morning to see what plecs they've got in stock

Will ask them and see what quote they give me
