What Tropical Fishwork Well In A Tank?

I have just acquired four guppies, and I was hoping to get some more tropical fish, but I am a total newbie, am totally lost. Help Please!!

Platies, mollys and tetras. All easy, hardy fish that most people start with. There cheap so mistakes dont get expensive.

I got 5 guppies yesterday and I would also call myself a rookie, I also got 5 rummy nose tetras and they're brill together also, despite people being sceptical, my female betta is fine with them and in my LFS they even put male bettas in with various guppy tanks so I would definitely get a female betta to go with them

Thats a bad attitude. Just because they cost very little doesn't mean they think or feel pain differently to more expensive species.

@ Noahs ark6, I don't know how many litres it holds, but the dimensions are 60cm L, 30cm W, and 30cm H.

yes, my tank has been cycled, it's just I'm new with guppies, but I have owned tropical fish before

Thats a bad attitude. Just because they cost very little doesn't mean they think or feel pain differently to more expensive species.

I never suggested that. But being a total newbie as he stated the chances of making a mistake are higher. The fish suffer either way, if its a £50 fish or a 50p one, there still gonna die but im pretty sure i can speak for most people when i say id rather lose 50p than £50.

If you do everything correctly you shouldn't be expecting to loose fish

I agree, I can understand that mistakes are a part of life but doing your homework and avoiding mistakes are a part of this hobby since it's another living creatures' life in your hands.
