At a rough guess (can't be bothered running up three floors to measure) it's something like - Length 18" x width 10 x height 12 ish

Try to resist going all Fancy Nancy,remember it's for your wee boy and while you want it to look nice,you also want something to interest the little one.
My wee boy has a tank in his room with dwarf gouramis in,they're quite curious and interactive.
