What To Have In My Fish Tank?

I cant make up my mind.

Any ideas are welcome..
I like big fishes, and i like small fishes.
But i LOVE bettas, eels (the one that escapes often) and buttom fishes.

You could have almost anything in there, apart from the really big catfish.

I dont really know what to suggest, what about some Bolivian Rams (peaceful Chiclids), and some Angel fish? Or some Discus, CLown Loaches? Yoyo Loaches, Parrot fish?, Gourami's...oooooooooooh its like being a kid in a sweet shop isnt it? lmao... Do some research into what you like, thats what i did with my 2nd tank, then you can plan it all, and have bottom/mid/top dwellers so your tank looks nice..

Thanks, well i think i want to keep only 3-4 fish spesies, so that i can study their behavior.

So far this is what i have in mind:
8-10 X Ancistrus
10-15 Corydoras (not sure which ones i want yet)
Maybe...a pair of Pterophyllum altum
And several eels (dont remeber the name, the one thats red/brown and yellow/white)

Sure. But have to get the money first..
I have to pay for my private german lessons in order to finish school and that costs a fortune..
But yeah, i'll update you on what im getting soon.

Instead of the 8-10 Ancistrus just get a male and 2 females and they will most likely breed. I got a male and a female in April this year and they have had 5 batches of fry so far, the only problem is the loaches eat them so i have only manage to net out 9 so far and i occasionally spot some still in the main tank.

Not a bad idea, perhaps get 1 male and 2 females, let them have their offsprings and then i can add the loaches. Sweet.
How big should they be in order to have sex/mate/reproduce?

When i got mine they were about 3 inches long but the male grew an extra half inch in under a month and his bristles got a lot bigger. I read that if you have loads of males together like in the LFS there will be a dominant one with big bristles and all the others will be subdominant with shorter bristles so this must be what happened. They have both got about half an inch longer since. Although mine are both brown, about a quarter of each batch of fry are albino.
