hi all

I have this problem
I have 4 angel fish in a 30 gallon and the orange one is bulling the white one and black one, but is matting with the strip one so should I take out the black and white one or take out the couple

my LFS told me that they will take the fish back for half the price and I can get something else, that will be the solution?

i'm not too sure on angels, but i think you're probably better returning a pair to lfs if you want to keep the breeding pair...angels can get aggressive.

the spawning pair will only be aggressive while spawning otherwise they will live together very peacefully, these are the ones i would keep. if the other 2 arent a pair then they may become aggrssive towards each other as well as others. it depends on the tank size too, if its quite big the other fish will have plenty of space to get away and do their thing :good:

hi thanks for the replies, they are not spawning and they are still aggressive not peaceful at all

I like my fish but I don't want them to get hurt so, now I have to take back 2, I just don't know which ones

any ideas ??

i thought you said they were 'matting'....? do you mean spawning or not? if theyre not spawning how do you know they are a pair?

ok well they are a pair because they have been putting eggs and fertilizing them
thats what I understand for a pair, isn't it?

but they are not laying eggs at the moment

or is because that they are a pair and can't be with any more angels in the tank?

I got confused now

I hope I explained better this time

if you have a spawning pair then i would keep these as they will mind their own business and not bother any other fish. if they spawn again then they will protect the eggs if anything gets too close but it will only be a chase away to warn the others away. the 2 that arent a pair/spawning may well get aggressive with each other, so i would say to keep the spawning pair...
