Im sorry about all of the questions in the past few days, im totally stumped with my tanks and can't seem to decide on anything, so i would really apreciate some stocking advice at the moment.

Here is what i have:

Tank 1- 20 gallon heavily planted with massive filtration, established 3 years.
5 x- ray tetras.
1 khuli loach (the others have died and i don't really want any more)

Tank 2- 16 gallon
5 platys and 1 platy fry

Tank 3- 10 gallon
nothing at all, still cycling.

Right so what are the options. Could i stick the platys in the 20 gallon with the tetras and scrap the 16 gallon alltogether?
That would leave me one ten gallon to stock, but with what. I have a large list of what i do not want (for example any more livebearers, bettas etc) but what could i possibly put in a planted 10 gallon that is interesting, Possibly a shoal of something? A gourami? I looked at rams but have been advised that the tank is too small.
What do you have in your 10 gallons. I have looked at the 10gallon thread but nothing takes my fancy, and my LFS is pretty limited in terms of getting anything rare
I have searched the internet and so far came up with nothing

In the 10 gallon you could have 4 honey gouramis. 6 otos and whatever fish you like?

You can move the platies into the 20 and scrap the 16 but i don't know much about platies so a platy expert will have to tell you.

I see no problem with moving the platies to the 20g.

In my 10g, I have 4 dwarf frogs, hoping to up their numbers a bit soon.

If you wanted to you could have some apistogramma in the 16g :good: Then you would still have the dwarf cichlids you wanted.
You could also put the GBR's you wanted (in your other thread) in the 20g with the tetras/khulli, keep the platies in the 16g though.

Depends on the frogs and the fish, ADF's can be kept with peaceful small fish that wont try to eat them, on the other hand, I believe clawed frogs will eat any fish they can catch.

We have some frogs in the pond and they breed every summer.

They live with japenease kois.

I was going to scrap the 16 gallon alltogether, keep the 20 and the 10. Not alot of space at the moment to keep the 16 or i would love to have kept it and put the rams in the 20 with the tetras but there is just no space for it.

So I would have.
20 gallon:
5 tetras
5 platys +1fry
khuli

and that would just leave me the 10 gallon to stock
I looked at honey gouramis...but im not sure since i already have a load of orange platys  I have also kept dwarf gouramis and they were so prone to disease it has put me off slightly. May be willing to give them another go if i can find something to put with them.

Dwarf puffers are a good choice.

If you do get dwarf gouramis then straight away treat the tank with anti internal bacteria once you've put them in.

This will make sure they don't get the disease. Do this every time you add a new fish with them.

I concidered dwarf puffers but ive never actually seen one in LFS so have no idea where i would get one!
Im finding it dificult to find a small fish that will fit despite hours of looking, maybe im just too picky

I think im leaning towards a honey gourami and something else to go with it if possible, although i would still like a small group of fish is possible

Honey Gouramies would be fine with a shoal of any of the following:
Dwarf Rasboras
Endlers
Ember Tetras

Do you have a maidenhead aqautics nearby to you?

They might have some, if they don't then have it ordered. Ask them to order a couple in for you.

Nope, only a LFS for miles.

Thankyou stang1 i will have a look at those :good:

honestly have a dp!!!- they are amazing little things, just have 1 or 2 at a push with some shrimps or otto's, plant the tank well covering about 70% of the substrate to decreace aggression

Why scrap the 16? If you need to get rid of the tank, get rid of the 10 and keep the 20 and 16.
