What To Breed?

I believe it is the 24" by 14" by 12" measurement.

And keep the suggestions coming! I'm weighing up the options, and it seems a check in with some of the lfs around here is a good idea at this point.

That measurement only makes it 14 Imperial Gallons or 17 US Gallons.

To solve the debate, I went and measured it. Smart guy here.

24" long by 12.5-13" wide, and 16" deep. So roughly 20 gallons.

I'm liking the idea of cherry shrimp at this point. Can I use a 5 gallon tall if I stick a large piece of vertical diftwood to maximize the area they can use? It is the only tank I have that is not in use that has a functioning lid and light.

Cherries very much appreciate a well planted tank with a few hiding places. The thing with tall tanks is that its harder to get O2 to reach the bottom of the tank. But they'll breed without any help at all as long as the females are happy.

I'm not too sure why, but my peacock gudgeons have been mating for the past two weeks non stop. The male finally comes out of his cave as the fry start hatching the other day, I switch him to the other tank, and then when I put his cave in the other tank he darts back in with his lady and they've been in there ever since. Thought my LFS sells them for 11$ each, so I should be getting a pretty penny if these fry do well in the fry tank.

The male tried seducing her again, she lost her preggo belly after being in the cave all day, but he wasn't too successful with the eggs this time around I suspect.
