Hey all! :)
I have a 50litre (10 UK gallon) tropical setup, with 7 guppies and an albino bristlenose pleco -so all pretty small in size.
It's been setup for years but now I have more time on my hands (and our 4yr old is taking an interest in it, yeay..!!) am wanting to add a few more.
Any thoughts? Something that won't nip the guppies' fins and what are 'friendly' ;) A 'focal point' -eg. a bigger fish - gourami/angel might be nice ?? Some neons?? something colourful so great to look at and of interest to my little girl....
I had some tiger barbs a few years back, had to take them back to the petshop after (literally) a few hours, cos they were so 'nippy' to the others in the tank! You learn from yr mistakes I guess!

Thanks in advance for any advice, ps - great site btw! :) xx

I would suggest the Bolivian or German Blue Ram. I have 3 and they are chilled out.

Very colourful and wouldn't nip the fins of the guppies. Well mine don't anyway.

Wow - they're v beautiful, thanks for the advice. I'd never heard of them before. I'll ask my LPS if they could get some in for me. I've never seen them before. What kind of conditions do they need? My tank temp is 76-is this ok?
How big do they get and how many would be ok with the guppies in that size tank do you think ?

Cheers again, much appreciated :) x

I'd recommend a pair of these, friendly and gorgeous

Personally i would say at 10gallons with 7 guppys and a pleco its fully stocked and so would advoid getting anymore fish (over-crowding and might be too much bioload-wise on the filtration).
