What The?

Please stop bugging me about it Jaded. You treat your bettas the way you treat yours and I will treat mine the way I treat mine.

P.S Just because people don't have big 1 gallon tanks does not mean they are bad betta owners!

I am sorry, but 1 gallon tank is the actual minimum. Not to be rude, but 1 gallon isn't a big tank- it's the size of a goldfish bowl. I think Jaded is just trying to tell you that they should be in bigger bowls, not that you don't keep your bettas well. I'm sure you love them and try to do the best, but they need to be in big enough bowls to stay healthy- a goldfish bowl is one gallon, if you can get one of those (at the Dollar Store for $1, or at Wal-Mart for about $5) and put some kind of cover on your bettas would thank you :)

I did not know they sold one gallons at the dollar store. I will go there and buy a bunch!

cracker's said he's got fish in about 1/2 a gallon of water, his fishroom looks like this http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showto...88445&st=16, and he's claimed to be lazy about cleaning tanks. Do you regularly attack him in the forums, and especially in threads that have nothing to do with tank size? Because if you don't, then you've no right to attack FBTgirl either.

Crackers a huge breeder over in thailand theres a big difference even if you don't see it. He has thousands of bettas, FBTgirl had 6 I believe. Call me crazy but if a person doesn't have the time or money or space or whatever to house SIX bettas properly then they shouldn't have that many. It would be better to have one betta in a nice 1-2 gallon planted tank then have 6 bettas in unplanted 1/4-1/2 gallon bowls. Do you not agree with that?

They don't always, but mine does, just look for a goldfish bowl, not all have them though, you have been warned :p

Exactly, I'm not saying your a "bad" betta keeper, I just want to make sure your bettas are happy, and healthy in a proper environment.

nobody is jumping down her throught there just giving advice.
some pic would really help

I told you I cant really get pics on the computer. Wait where you talking to me?

i generally agree with jaded's advice (as i do now), but this time i'm afraid i don't agree with how it's been given. when i first came to the forum, i was simply asking advice about some discoloration i noticed in my betta, and someone jumped down my throat telling me that my 1 gallon tank was a "vase" and basically telling me i was a horrible owner. i didn't appreciate them doing that when i was asking for advice about something completely different. like i said, i agree that anything below 1 gallon is too small, but perhaps a PM would have been a better way to talk about this? just something to consider in the future. :)

i do believe we were being rude, i apologized and its none of our business how she treats her bettas, she knws the minimum requirment for housing bettas so drop it. and yes she has six bettas and your just gonna have to get over that too. and like you said jaded you want to make sure your HER bettas are happy and healthy if someone wanted you to post pics and of your betta enviroment and make sure your bettas are happy would you be ok with that? i think anyone would feeel like they were getting interogated.

i wouldnt i would be glad for the advice. its not about the owner its about the betta

yes but she has had this advice multiple times, after a while it just gets irritaiting. wouldnt you think? especially if your thread had nothing to do with the advice being handed to you?

Check the "Show us your betta setup" thread :p
