i keep mine at 27/28 but have just been told this is too high by a guy in my lfs and they should be between 21 and 23?
what temp should they be at?? im confused now?

Usually the ideal temperature is about 72-76F or 22-25C. Your tank temperature seems slightly high right now. I mean, it's not a huge deal, but I would gradually lower it just a bit if you can. What other fish are in the tank, or is it just Guppies?

Do you know what kind of crayfish you have, as some of them prefer coldwater?

If you know you have one from a tropical environment, I would just research the species somewhat, and see what people say the ideal temperature is, and then compromise between them and your Guppies. I would say your tank temperature is probably slightly high right now, though.

guppies are quite versatile. i keep mine in the low 70's as they are much hardier fish. the higher the temp the faster they grow and the shorter the life, and i as find the immune system dose not work as good

I wouldn't worry about it. There is no one set temperature that is right for Guppies. 24 will be fine. :)

I have my community tank at 24 with livebearers inc guppies in it and they seem fine, and comfortable at that temp.
