Fish Fanatic
Hello. I found this guy in my guppy tank today. He literally appeared out of nowhere. He appears to be the only one too. Does anyone know what type he is? Is he likely to reproduce like crazy?

Jinx!Ramshorn snail, can breed on his own but not overly bad i find as long as you keep feeding under control great clean up crew
Looks like a Blue Ram Horn snail to me - harmless, but can multiply quickly.
Ah. Thank you both so much for the info. Only ever kept nerites so this snail was a completely alien to me. Now I can research a bit more now that I know what he actually is xD.Ramshorn snail, can breed on his own but not overly bad i find as long as you keep feeding under control great clean up crew
No its most definitely a ramshorn, note the curled shape. Pond snails and bladder snails have pointed shells. Not a ramshorn, its a pond snail.
I was going to say the same until I saw the 3rd photo. Definitely a ramshorn. Not a ramshorn, its a pond snail.
Thanks for the info! Do you know any fish that eat them? I got some Bettas and a cichlid. So worst case could I just feed em?They are cool, leave him in peace, when you get to many remove a few. Slow breeding as far as snails go.
You will just get a few extras, don't panic it is all good. Maybe the cichlid will eat a few eggs as well. Thanks for the info! Do you know any fish that eat them? I got some Bettas and a cichlid. So worst case could I just feed em?
Do you know when they normally start multiplying. Like he’s really small atm and I read that they can get quite big. Is there a average size I should expect to see em breed? You will just get a few extras, don't panic it is all good. Maybe the cichlid will eat a few eggs as well.
