It measures 24x17x12 + it has a bow front. We thought iwas was 29g but all the stores claims those don't exist, we need a top for it. The 26g top is just a tad too small.

You could always get a few of those 5 gallon drums from sparkletts and use that as crude measurment?

dont know whos telling you 29gls dont exist its a very common size!! mark that person out and dont ask them anything.

although this isnt for bowfronts it should help. as far as i know it is US gallons too (ours are diffrent)

yup and 17 deep. bsically the rect section of the tank is those measurements, and unknown for the bow section. It seems to be a 20g + whatever the bow adds

its just under 15 inches at the widest part of the bow from the bakc of the tank

I ESTIMATED IT TO BE AROUND 24 TO 25 U.S. GALLONS...I ALSO ASSUMED THE SEMI-OVAL AREA THAT MAKES UP THE BOW TO BE TRIANGULAR FOR EASY CALCULATION PURPOSES.

17" HIGH BY 24" LONG BY 12" WIDE EXCEPT THE BOW WHICH IS ABOUT 3" WIDER AT WIDEST POINT.

17*24*12 = 4896 CUBIC INCHES

1/2 BASE * HEIGHT = 1/2 * (15-12) * 12 * 2 TRIANGLES * 17 = 612 CUBIC INCHES

4896 + 612 = 5508 CUBIC INCHES

5508 / 1728 CUBIC INCHES PER CUBIC FOOT = 3.2 CUBIC FEET

3.2 * 7.48 US GALLONS PER CUBIC FOOT = 24 GALLONS, BUT TANK IS ACTUALLY LARGER
