What should my bottom be?

I want to get a few plants so should i get sand or gravel for the bottom?

Depending on the plants, they either won't mind or will need gravel. I haven't had much problem with sand myself.

What kind of plants are you interested in?
If you do decide to go with gravel a good kind is "eco-complete" It is made specifically for growing and maintaining plants...or so I've heard.
