Well the story was that I went to the Fish store in the afternoon today and wanted to buy more tetras and 2 new cories... But I just found out that mine were actually Albino Cories... WTH do I do? My LFS doesnt include returns... This really sucks... So are they going to die in my 10gallon tank... I found out that they grow up to 3inches. so 3+3+4=10inches right? So does that mean that my tank is over stocked?

Hi Arrowhead :)

If your tank is cycled and the fish are healthy to begin with, they will be just fine! You will absolutely enjoy them.

The name of their species is most likely C. aeneus and the albino form stays a bit smaller than the bronze form anyway. Just keep the tank clean and don't worry about them. :D

OMG...Thanks alot... This is the second time you saved me from freaking out. :D ... Yeah my tanks been cycled for 2 months now. I used fishless cycling, because people said it was better for the health of the fish that are going to be put in it.And I do frequent water changes Thanks for the heads up... Once again...

Has your tank really been cycled for 2 months? You joined this forum less than a month ago and were completely clueless (no offense). You also bought that tank pretty recently, if I recall correctly.
I'd think fishless cycling would be pretty hard without proper water tests because pH isn't what you test for when cycling.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to come across like such a witch but a lot of your posts contradict themselves and this forum is a lot more helpful when you are honest about what you are doing and what you know.

Really true , nino. It is so tempting to appear to be more than we really are. We are all tempted--at least I am. But God says every covering will become too short and our nakedness will be seen. God means he knows us completely and will not allow us to live as decievers. I think he loves us too much. How embarrassing it is when someone pulls our coverings to reveal our true nature which we have been at pains to hide from everyone.

Problem is there are always students of human nature who can see the inconsistencies in our coverups and actually remember what we said in Betta or Photos or Emergency.

Arrowhead, as I've said before, "A word to the wise is sufficient." Just because people are too polite to say anything, doesn't mean they didn't notice. Inchworm is a very caring moderator. She cares about the fish but also about the members.

Every once in a while I pop up to say my piece. I say what I have to say, and then I leave it alone. I say something, because an honest life is worth more living than a dishonest life. I want you to live an honest life, not a lie--"peepin' 'n hidin', slippin' 'n slidin'".

Stay and work with Inchworm on becoming a cory master. the sweet little cories.

What's going on here? ????

This thread is not a place to have open confrontations about a member's fishkeeping abilities. If he is new and having problems, what good will that do? Isn't it better to ask simple questions and help the person out? There is no problem so big that it can't be overcome with patience and help from friends.

IMHO, it's better to deal with conflicts by PM.
