what should i do

i coundn't get this working in the breeding section so i fought i might try it here.
i have 2 bright yellow fish,biggish that have laid eggs on a rock.they are protecting it well but from resent expreince the babies get eaten by other fish.and how long does it take 4 the eggs to hatch
