I have a betta fish in a ten gallon aquarium, and I'm fairly certain he sleeps on the sand at the bottom. Plants are really not an option in my tank. What is the second best thing to get for a betta to sleep on?

According to a thread at another forum, the betta hammock are not properly waterproofed and the metal ribs of the leaf will rust, badly.
Maybe a floating "betta log"?

EDIT: NVM, it appears they've since changed the hammock design to not include metal, just watch out that you don't get one of the old ones.

The tank is on the opposite side of the room from a south-facing window that has blinds covering it most of the time. That is why I can't have plants.
Thanks for your advice, I will certainly take it into account.

Thank you for your advice. I'm going to see if my local fish store has them next time I'm over there. I can't buy those exact fake plants, because they won't ship to the US.

I just got home from buying him a silk plant at petsmart. I got one with soft leaves.
