By peppered do you mean salt and pepper corys? These are too big for your tank and they require schools. If they are true peppered corydoras, one of the dwarf varieties, then you should get at least four more. You may be able to add a species of gourami, but I'm not sure which ones are appropriate for this size tank. You'll also need to find out your water hardness. Your water provider can help with that.

Salt & pepper corys are habrosus corys a dwarf species getting around 1.5", true peppered corys C.paleatus are larger getting to around 3"
Celestial pearl danios, ember tetras, chili rasboras, endlers, male guppies would all be good in the tank size.

As you have hard water, and it's a small tank, I would suggest;
 
guppies or Endlers; all males, as you wouldn't really have enough room in a 12 g to raise fry. They're not true schoolers (but no fish school that much in tanks, as it's a defense mechanism against predators) but are bold and colourful
 
If you can get them, celestial pearl danios or dwarf emerald danios are lovely, but they are shy and need a lot of cover
 
Or you could have a look in your LFS, make a list of what they have that you like the look of and we can tell you whether they're suitable for you or not

Personally, I wouldn't like to see them in anything less than a three foot.

The Salt & Pepper Cories (c.habrosus) are the dwarf variety, whereas Peppered Cories (c.paleatus) is quite a large cory, reaching 7cm, and is way to big for a 12gallon tank.

They are available on aquabid. Many sellers ship internationally. May be worth a shot. Or you could rehome the two you have and get something like ember tetras, chili rasboras, endlers, or a pair of dwarf puffers, or some of the many non-splendens betta species. There are several betta species which also work well in community tanks. But if you specifically want a school, shoot for nano species. Most of the microdevario would work (depending on the dimensions of your tank and your water quality), as well as some of the fish I've already mentioned in this post.
