sorry only 40L as its just for my puffers but i want something to keep the algae down...

There are no plecs suitable for that sized tank.

The best thing for keep algae down on the glass is an algae scraper.

And on ornaments etc, I'd recommend one or two nerite snails or at the most an apple snail. However obviously this wouldn't be the smartest idea with puffers!

So in your case I would stick to ottos... Or perhaps try a couple of shrimp, I've known people have shrimp with puffers successfully.

I don't know if you already have the ottos, but they are definitely one of the best algae eaters out there.

Stay away from plecos. The ones in the pet stores are just babies. They can and will top a foot, not to mention they produce a lot of waste which is most definitely not what you need in a DP tank!

thanks for the reply i already have 2 BN plecos in my 200L community tanks so i no what you mean by the wast... lol so the ottos will be enough then yeah? how many do you think i will need
