Do you think I could put that plant in the back of this 5 gallon tank

You can. It likes to grow above the surface, and will head that way, often losing the leaves lower down. Above the tank, it flowers. It's a great plant, but not a true aquatic one.

I brought I from an aquarium shop and it dosent flower.

Once it gets above the surface, it can flower. It takes time.

And a lot of plants from aquarium shops are actually bog plants that thrive above water.
