I use Windows Server 2000, Server 2005 and XP Professional at work. I use XP Home, XP media edition, Ubuntu and Fedora on my own/family machines. They are all good at what they do although as others have said I can never understand why there isn't just one XP.
I actually try not to get excited about operating systems, I just use whichever is right for what I am doing. If someone said I had to choose one and give up the rest it would be Ubuntu, not so much because it is the best for any one task as because it is probably the only one that could handle everything I need to do adequately.
I do a mixture of development and software/systems support to earn a crust and design and build digital electronic systems for fun so I spend a lot of my time with what my wife calls my toys!
