What Nw Cichlids Have You All Owned?

Thought it would be interesting to jot down all the different types of NW cichlids we've all owned. Also put for how long, if you can remember.

I've had or got:

Green Terror - about 18mths and counting
Pearl cichlid (Geophagus brasiliensis) - about a month I think
Oscar - 5mths and counting
Bolivian Ram - must be around 2ish years
Gold Ram - about 1 month
Keyhole - about 18mths and counting
Green Severum - few days and counting

All bought as juvis.

I've got all mine still apart from the Pearl, who my GT hated, and the Golds who hated my hard water

ETA: I forgot I've had Angels as well - about a month or so

i have had mainly dwarfs due to tank size's

did have a aequidens latifrons sold to me as a dwarf acara had to give them to a friend though who had a 100g tank for them to grow in too

Haha, a few elusive ones like Red Devils or Midas, Red Festae, a few of the Parachromis (RTM's, Dovii, Freddys etc) are some that i would love to keep one day

Also Peacock Bass and fancy hybrids like Flowerhorns, Red texas etc...wouldn't mind trying to make my own

Ha its all i keep, and same with Damsels/Dottys/Clowns in Marine tanks, very similar fish (Labroidei order of perciformes) to Cichlids in looks and personality

What are the Nic's like and what tank mates have you had with them? They look really nice.

My Nic has successfully been kept with everything from Colombian Tetras, Danios and Rainbows to a large Jack Dempsey, Gold Severum and even a Bangkanensis Snakehead; Usually they are a fairly placid species despite the Males being able to reach a good 8-9" (females about 6") and generally mix with most None aggressive species

I found my female a right bruiser so had to get rid of her in the end, she was beautiful tho.
