And kribensis12 is right. Most eels do need salt. Adults of this species are found in full on seawater in the wild.

i will agree on that and also getting that tank supproted propely there must be a hell of a lot of extra stress on that.

Step 3) Cycle your tank
Step 4) Get some guppies, platys and sweordtails.

Considering he supplied piccies, I suspect not. By his set up you can tell he was trying to do everything "BUDGET" and wanted some really cool fish without doing research......
