Hi,

In my 45 Gallon tank I currently have:

2x Lace Gourami
2x Dwarf Gourami
5x Cory's
3x Sucking Loach

Assuming I haven't reached my stock limit, can anyone recommend extra fish I can add that go well with these species.

Thanks

IMHO in a community tank you cann't go too far wrong with a large number of a shoaling species....

.....but thats quite difficult as the choice here is huge....

....maybe find a species that prefers your type of water....and go from there - its easier in the long run to find fish that like your local water parameters than to try and change the water to suit the fish....

In a tank containing gouramis I would suggest getting Cardinals insted of Neons. If the Neons are small they could be mistaken for food. Mabe19 Cardinals to have a flash of colour? Odd numbers look more pleasing than even numbers, also cuts down on the in-fighting that sometimes goes on. Harlequin are another nice breed. As www says there is a wide choice and it really depends what YOU want from your tank.

I did have Harlequins before and I really liked them, but I lost them all which kind of put me off. Then again I had a real PH problem at the time so maybe I'll give them another try. I've never seen cardinals before so I'll look out for them.

I'll see if I can sort out a pic of the sucking loach, I haven't got my digital camera at the moment but I should get it back soon.
