Hello, I am new to this forum and have a question.

About 5 days ago I noticed that one my angels had something that appeared to be a worm or some type of growth coming out of its eye, right next to the eyeball. I've attached some pics and as you can see there is raised flesh like a donut surrounding what looks like a worm of some sort. You can't see it in these pics, but he entire eye ball is protruding and behind it is more of the worm/growth that appears to be coming from deeper 3-3.jpg in the fish.

I've searched the net and here, but cannot find any reference to what I see. It would be much appreciated if anyone has an explanation and/or ideas on what it is and what to do.

Thanks in advance

Can you describe the worm in more detail.
Does the worm have a y shaped tail.

Fish can get eye flukes but it's usually quite hard to see them with the naked eye.
Any white specs behind the lens of the eye.

No tail that I can see and no white specks either. If it had a tail it's deeper in the fish's head.

Not sure what else I can say, but whatever it is is making the eye protrude out about twice what it should. Kinda of freaky looking if you ask me.

Other than that the fish is acting normal. Swims around and eats just fine.

Can you isolate the sick fish and use a parasite med.
Whats your location.,
