What Lights?

Bought a 5 x 1.5 x 2ft tank.

I have the filters and heater in but I still need lights. I've no idea what to buy and I'm having problems getting goods delivered to Northern Ireland.

What would you suggest? They need to fit under the hood. The tank is being delivered on Friday so I need the lights quick so I can get it up and running

How about a nice wooden DIY hood with a 4 foot long shop light fixture inside? Another DIY option is a section of white plastic guttering as a reflector and again a 4 foot long lighting fixture. You can even buy gutter end caps to finish off the ends of your new "hood".

I already have a hood. I'm just unsure if I would be better buying individual flourescent light units or if I should buy a juwel light unit?

How much wattage would I need?

Would a juwel 120 be sufficient

What bulbs?

120 watts of fluorescent light over that tank would be marginal at best and would be unlikely to be enough for many plants.
