I was wondering what levels of Ammonia and Nitrite are lethal and what are just stressful?

I dropped a few too many fish in early and I've been doing daily 10-15% water changes to keep ammonia down its pretty steady at .5 ppm with one of the aquarium pharmaceuticals dropper test kits.

Its been over a week and nitrites are still at 0 so I'm guessing this is gonna take a while :(

Yep, maybe 4-6 weeks before the cycle is complete.

Different fish are susceptible to different levels of ammonia and nitrite so it's hard to give a definitive answer.

However, any fish kept in an environment with even low levels of ammonia/nitrite for long periods of time will be susceptible to disease etc.

Don't let ammonia get past the .5 mark if you can help it. Even when it isn't killing fish, it is still donig damage if it is present in the water.
