hey there :)
so im currently in the journey of converting my tank to a fully planted one, im getting there slowly but surely, i just want to fill it with plants and let them grow wildly, so it has more of a natural overgrown kinda look to it, and i wanted to create a sense of scale when adding fish, so i wanted to keep the size of fish quite small. so it makes the planting of the tank look a lot bigger in comparison to the fish

any ideas of some small fish species, in my local pet shop, i seen they were selling lamp eye fish, they were really tiny but very nice looking however i know enough about them to keep them at the moment!

any ideas appreciated

What size is your tank? I would personally suggest celestial pearl danios but those could be a bit on the pricey side.

What about "White Clouds" ((Tanichthys albonubes)? They are a cold water fish from China and look (to me) like miniture trout. They're very pretty, lively and a bit smaller than danios. They're quite hardy as far as water quality goes as well.

CPD's/Galaxy Rasbora's are great. But can cost £3 each. I think they're also jumpers, so ensure your tank has a lid.

Something like the Copper Harlequin Rasbora would look nice also.

Others to consider would be Sparkling Gourami's. These are lovely little fish that would add life to the tank without taking focus away from your plants. You could easily stock 8-10 in a 50 litre tank.

I've got some golden white clouds & they're cute wee things, they love swimming around in my grassy plants. :) I'm also a bit fan of ember tetras, though they can be hard to find methinks...
